Wow what a great couple of weeks it’s been in my new role as Club Manager, it’s wonderful to meet so many passionate club members who want to help us grow and improve our club. If you have an idea or would like to volunteer to help the club improve further, please feel free to pop in the office for a chat with me.

CONGRATULATIONS to our winner Lisa Edwards who won the Spring Hamper which raised over $70 thank you to all who purchased tickets. Please support our Christmas Hamper Raffle featuring some fabulous goodies and beautifully presented, organised by our amazing Mid-Week ladies;  you can buy tickets from me in the office or at the bar! $4 a ticket or $10 for 3!

We are looking for a team of volunteers to help do small maintenance tasks around the
club. You don’t have to have experience, just enthusiasm. The sort of things the team will be responsible for would be cleaning, painting, tidying, small fix-up jobs.

Also if we have any tradie specialists that we can call on for assistance or just advice that would be great!

If you simply do not have the time but have leftover products which we could use, then please let me or Grant know. Also we are happy to hear from members about what we can improve at the Club, from this we will compile this into a to-do list and prioritise what we are going to do and when.

Grant Charsley has kindly offered to lead the BBRC Maintenance Team and will co-ordinate projects; thank you Grant for offering your services to us this is really appreciated. I look forward to informing members of our plans once we build our team.

BBRC has partnered with SoulShine Coffee Shop in Browns Bay who have kindly offered every BBRC member a FREE Medium Coffee, please pop into the office when you’re next passing to collect a complimentary voucher. They have just launched a NEW MENU this week, I encourage you to look at their new menu when you pop in for your free coffee! Please check my office hours on our website to ensure I am at the Club.

T&C’s: 1 Medium Coffee Voucher Per Member, Expires December 31st 2019.

Next week our fabulous NEW Lumosa LED lights will be installed on tennis courts 1-5, work will take place on Monday 25th November and all going well will be completed by daytime Thursday, 28th November, we will try to ensure little disruption to our members. By upgrading to the new LED’s will save a significant amount of energy which will result in a cost saving to our club!

Without the following Grant Foundations this project would not have been possible, a huge THANK YOU to: TAB, Lion Foundation, Four Winds Foundation and Pub Charity who gave BBRC $56,480.00 and thank you to our Committee for their hard work and efforts.
